The Year 8 visited Lough Neagh Discovery Centre last week on a Geography Field Trip. Pupils were divided into groups and took part in workshops over the course of the day looking at the Lough Neagh Ecosystem. Among the activities they took part in were pond dipping and searching for pitfall traps in the woodland to see what had been caught! A talk on the history of Lough Neagh and the species it attracts to its shores was very interesting finishing off with a little bit of bird watching. An enjoyable and informative day out for our Year 8 Geographers!
